This is the first real taste on the track for the new red car, awaiting further feedback tomorrow with the 200 km filming day, always scheduled on the same circuit.

“Presenting a new car is always a very exciting moment, both for me and for the drivers, even if we are already thinking about when we will face our opponents on the track,” said Frederic Vasseur in the statement published a few minutes ago.
“This year we have to start from where we stopped at the end of last season when we were constantly in the top positions. We face the most challenging championship in the history of Formula 1, and with Charles and Carlos, we agree: we have to be more ruthless and effective in taking advantage of opportunities, trying to bring home points in every race, and continuing to improve in all aspects. To succeed in such a tight championship, we know that fans can be our extra gear, and we are proud to be able to count on them.” – he added.
The two drivers have also commented on the new car, with Charles Leclerc expecting improvements over last year: “What interests me most is performance because it’s on the track that everything is at stake. The SF-24 promises to be less sensitive and more drivable. I would say that for us drivers, that’s exactly what is needed to do well.”
“I expect a step forward in many aspects. From what I could understand in the simulator, I believe we are where we want to be. This season the goal is to be always in front. I want to repay our fans with many great races and return to dedicate victories to them.”
Finally, Carlos Sainz stated: “The goal is to have a more drivable car and therefore constant in race pace, which are the basic requirements to be able to fight for victory. We drivers have given our best to provide precise indications to the technicians. I’m sure that the engineers working in Maranello will have accommodated our needs. We want to give something to the fans who supported us even in the most difficult moments of the last season.” – the Spaniard concluded.
