Editorial Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
This Editorial Policy explains the principles and standards followed by ScuderiaFans.com when preparing and publishing coverage of Scuderia Ferrari and Formula 1.
It applies to news reports, race-weekend coverage, technical analysis, opinion articles, historical features and other editorial content published on the website.
Our editorial purpose
ScuderiaFans is an independent, fan-led publication created for an international English-speaking audience with a particular interest in Scuderia Ferrari.
Our purpose is to provide timely, informative and engaging coverage while helping readers understand the context and significance of developments involving Ferrari and the wider Formula 1 championship.
Although our coverage reflects a genuine passion for Ferrari, we aim to report honestly and responsibly. Supporting the team does not prevent us from examining disappointing results, strategic mistakes, technical difficulties or other matters critically when justified by the available information.
Editorial responsibility
ScuderiaFans retains editorial responsibility for all content published on the website. Articles are prepared and reviewed with the aim of ensuring clarity, relevance, accuracy and appropriate context.
Articles may be published under different editorial bylines associated with particular areas of coverage. These bylines operate under the same site-wide editorial standards. More information is available on our Writers page.
Accuracy and verification
We aim to publish information that is accurate at the time of publication. Depending on the subject, our coverage may draw on:
- Official statements and announcements from Ferrari, Formula 1 teams, drivers and championship organisers;
- FIA regulations, decisions, documents and official classifications;
- Press conferences, media interviews and other publicly available comments;
- Information obtained through accredited access at selected motorsport events;
- Timing data, race results and other official statistics;
- Reporting from established and relevant motorsport publications.
Where important information cannot be independently confirmed, we aim to identify it clearly as a report, claim, rumour, expectation or interpretation rather than present it as an established fact.
Formula 1 stories can develop quickly, particularly during race weekends. Information that was accurate when an article was published may later be clarified or superseded by an official decision. Where appropriate, we update articles to reflect significant new information.
Sources and attribution
When an article depends materially on information first reported by another publication or source, we aim to identify that source clearly and provide attribution where appropriate.
Official documents, statements, interviews and press conferences may also be referenced or linked when doing so helps readers verify the information or understand its original context.
We do not knowingly present speculation circulating on social media as confirmed information. Social-media posts may be reported when they come from a relevant official account, verified participant or clearly identified source.
Quotations and translated material
Direct quotations must preserve the speaker’s intended meaning and relevant context. Quotations are not knowingly invented, expanded or materially altered.
Minor punctuation or grammatical adjustments may be made where necessary for readability, provided they do not change the meaning of the statement.
When quotations or source material are translated into English, we aim to produce a natural and accurate translation that preserves the substance, tone and context of the original remarks.
If part of a quotation is omitted for length or relevance, the omission must not create a misleading impression of what the speaker said.
News, analysis and opinion
ScuderiaFans publishes different forms of editorial content, including factual reporting, technical or strategic analysis and opinion.
News articles aim to distinguish confirmed facts from interpretation. Analysis may draw conclusions from available data, observations and reported information, but those conclusions should not be presented as officially confirmed unless supported by an authoritative source.
Opinion articles may express a particular viewpoint. Opinions should still be based on accurate information and must not rely on fabricated claims or quotations.
Technical analysis and performance data
Formula 1 technical and strategic subjects often involve incomplete information because teams do not disclose every detail of their cars or decisions.
When discussing upgrades, performance differences, tyre behaviour, race strategy or technical problems, we aim to distinguish between:
- Information officially confirmed by a team, driver, the FIA or another authoritative source;
- Information reported by established specialist sources;
- Conclusions or interpretations derived from timing data, images, observations or race events.
Technical interpretations may change as further evidence becomes available. Estimates should be identified as estimates rather than presented as exact confirmed measurements.
Editorial tools
Digital and AI-assisted tools may be used as part of the editorial preparation process. Published content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy and context, with final editorial responsibility remaining with ScuderiaFans.
Corrections and updates
We aim to correct material factual errors clearly and promptly after they are identified and verified.
A correction may involve amending inaccurate text, adding missing context, updating information following an official decision or placing a correction or editor’s note within the article when the change is significant.
Minor spelling, grammar, formatting or stylistic changes that do not alter the substance of an article may be made without a separate correction notice.
Readers who identify a possible error can contact us at [email protected]. Please include the article URL and explain the information that may require correction.
Independence and event accreditation
ScuderiaFans.com is independent and is not affiliated with, authorised by or officially connected to Ferrari S.p.A., Scuderia Ferrari, Formula 1, the FIA or their respective owners and commercial partners.
ScuderiaFans has received media accreditation for selected motorsport events, including FIA-sanctioned events. Accreditation provides access for editorial coverage but does not constitute endorsement of ScuderiaFans or influence our editorial conclusions.
Advertising and commercial content
ScuderiaFans is funded primarily through advertising and commercial partnerships. Advertising relationships do not give advertisers control over our regular editorial coverage or conclusions.
Advertisements displayed automatically through advertising platforms are separate from editorial content.
If ScuderiaFans publishes paid, sponsored or commercially commissioned content, it should be clearly identified through an appropriate label so that readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage.
Commercial considerations should not knowingly influence how we report Formula 1 results, team performance, driver comments or other editorial developments.
Conflicts of interest
Anyone contributing to ScuderiaFans should avoid allowing personal, financial or commercial interests to compromise the accuracy or independence of published coverage.
Where a relationship or interest could reasonably affect how readers interpret an article, an appropriate disclosure should be included.
Images, video and other media
ScuderiaFans aims to use photographs, videos, graphics and other media in accordance with applicable permissions, licences, platform terms or legitimate editorial use.
Credits are included where required or editorially appropriate. Rights holders who believe material has been used incorrectly can contact [email protected] with the relevant page URL and details of the work concerned.
Reader comments
Comments published by readers represent the views of their respective authors and not necessarily those of ScuderiaFans.
We may moderate, edit or remove comments containing spam, unlawful material, personal attacks, discriminatory abuse, threats, deliberately false information or content unrelated to the discussion.
Information about the personal data processed through comments is available in our Privacy Policy.
Questions and editorial complaints
Questions, correction requests or concerns about our editorial coverage can be sent to [email protected].
Please include the relevant article URL and enough information for us to understand and review the issue. We aim to consider legitimate concerns fairly and make an appropriate correction or clarification when necessary.
Changes to this policy
This Editorial Policy may be updated to reflect changes in our editorial practices, website operations or applicable standards. The latest version will remain available on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
