Ferrari has never considered ending its collaboration with Brembo, which began in the 1970s at the behest of its founder. Brembo issued a statement after reports emerged from Japan claiming that the Scuderia would choose another brake disc manufacturer in 2025, a rumor that quickly spread across many European sites. Several motorsport outlets, including us at ScuderiaFans.com, reported the rumor of a switch to Carbon Industrie for 2025. This change in supplier would have involved only the brake discs, while the pads and calipers would still come from Brembo.
“With reference to the rumors published on the morning of Thursday, December 12, by some online media outlets, Brembo denies any break in its collaboration with Scuderia Ferrari.
The Bergamo-based company, a world leader in braking system production and supplier to all Formula 1 teams, confirms its technical partnership with the Maranello team, to which it will continue supplying all braking system components, including carbon discs, for the upcoming Formula 1 seasons.”
With this official denial, Brembo aims to reassure Ferrari fans and Formula 1 enthusiasts. Both entities share the common goal of excelling in the world championship, focusing on innovative technologies and a long-term vision.
Ferrari is assembling the 677, the project name for the 2025 car, which is in an advanced development stage with the braking system designed by Maranello engineers in collaboration with those from Bergamo. The Italian supplier produces tailor-made calipers for each team based on the specific requirements needed to optimize their systems.
