The tax for drivers
The International Federation grants Formula 1 drivers who meet the requirements a Super License for the following season upon payment of a significant fee.
This contribution consists of a fixed base fee of just over 11,000 euros for all drivers, plus an additional 2,313 euros for each point earned, according to a detailed report by the website Speedcafe.

A heavy bill for Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen once again tops this list, as he will be required to pay 1 million euros to the FIA. However, the Dutchman will pay less than in 2024, when—due to his record-breaking season—he shelled out 1.3 million euros.

While McLaren’s two drivers can celebrate their constructors’ championship victory, they will also see a significant increase in their fees: Lando Norris will pay 876,000 euros (compared to 470,000 in 2024), while Oscar Piastri will pay 680,000 euros (compared to 228,000 the previous year).

Regarding Ferrari: Charles Leclerc will pay 834,000 euros, while Lewis Hamilton will owe 527,000 euros.

Italian rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli rounds out the list, as he will only pay the fixed base fee of 11,000 euros for his debut Formula 1 season.
