Mercedes is even further behind, partly due to a growth that only began at the Austrian GP. Its average points are much lower than the leaders, standing at 18.25.

Moving on to the other seven teams in the championship, the difference in median performances is evident. The best is Aston Martin, but with only 4.6 points per race, followed by the equally anonymous VCARB with 2.125 and Haas with 1.75. Bringing up the rear are Alpine, Williams, and Sauber, with the latter still unable to score a point.

Through telemetry data, we can also analyze another important element in the title race. In fact, with this progression, we can see the trend of team performances over the 16 completed races in 2024. McLaren is the one showing a clear trend of constant growth. Red Bull and Ferrari, on the other hand, have suffered some setbacks with a decline between Canada and Spain. However, Ferrari’s growth resumed with several podium finishes and the Monza victory.

The comparison with the other 7 teams is stark, with Aston Martin the only one standing out from the lower-ranked cars.
