Scuderia Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have not yet given their ‘welcome’ on social media to the new team principal and general manager of Scuderia Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur, who will officially begin his new role in Maranello from Monday 9 January 2023, as confirmed yesterday by the Italian company. Ferrari therefore finally announced the successor of Mattia Binotto at the top of the Formula 1 Racing Division, although the news had been reported by many sources in recent days.
On the other hand, Lapo Elkann, younger brother of Ferrari President John Elkann, has already sent his personal welcome message to the French manager. Lapo Elkann has always been very active on social media as a huge fan of the Maranello team and chose Frederic Vasseur’s mother tongue to welcome the Frenchman who is currently taking a fast Italian course to adequately be able to perform the role of manager on the Maranello team:
“Bienvenue Fred à la Scuderia Ferrari. Bon travail et portons le championnat du monde à la maison”, or “Welcome Fred to the Scuderia Ferrari. Good luck and let’s bring home the championship” – the words of Lapo Elkann in the tweet dedicated to Frederic Vasseur.
