According to the Italian website AutoRacer.it, Ferrari will arrive in Austria with a first package of updates aimed at addressing the issues of the SF-25.
Two Grands Prix, one mission: save face
Thanks to the work done in Maranello, the Scuderia has managed to bring forward part of the changes initially planned for Silverstone, originally scheduled for the first weekend of July.
After extensive wind tunnel testing, the engineers believe that a new floor could provide encouraging signals at Spielberg. However, introducing updates ahead of schedule always carries uncertainty and therefore represents a risk.
No one expects an immediate and decisive step forward, but at least some progress is necessary to stay on course with the mission of salvaging 2025.
A full championship marked by failure and disappointment would objectively be the worst possible way to enter the new regulatory era coming next year.
A comeback starting in Austria (or in Great Britain) and securing a few wins towards the end of the championship would instead be a strong response to the justified criticism received so far.
All that’s left is to wait for the next two race weekends to see whether Ferrari gets the desired results — but one thing is certain: another misstep would make a lot of noise…
