While waiting to introduce the new suspension package, Scuderia Ferrari is set to take to the track soon for a very important filming day. After recently unveiling the new floor at the Red Bull Ring, the Maranello team is preparing for this key filming session, during which the highly anticipated new rear suspension will likely be tested. As previously reported, this suspension upgrade will not make its debut during the upcoming Silverstone Grand Prix weekend.
Ferrari’s engineers and technicians have decided to postpone the introduction of the new suspension to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, where it will mark the second major upgrade package of the 2025 Formula 1 season. However, before Spa, it will be crucial to analyze the data and feedback gathered during the filming day. According to the Italian website Autoracer and its sources, this filming day is expected to take place at the Mugello circuit in the days between the Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps race weekends.
Regarding the British Grand Prix, Ferrari will arrive on track with a car that features no significant updates beyond the new floor. The new floor introduced at Spielberg impressed the Scuderia’s technical staff, and they are hopeful to see confirmation of its performance benefits at Silverstone as well. The British circuit, on paper, seems favorable to McLaren’s strengths, but it has historically been a venue where Lewis Hamilton has pushed his car well beyond its limits. The British driver aims to perform strongly at his home race, hoping to turn around his first season with Ferrari and achieve a breakthrough result.
