On the eve of the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, where upgrades to the SF-25 are expected, Fred Vasseur provided an update from Ferrari.
Hoping to repeat past successes must be the priority for Ferrari ahead of the Austrian GP weekend, where, as confirmed multiple times by Fred Vasseur, some upgrades to the SF-25 should arrive.
Spielberg has been a track that has delivered several satisfying moments for Maranello’s team in recent years. In particular, Charles Leclerc seems to thrive on the Red Bull Ring’s corners, where he has often been the protagonist of exciting races and duels.
For this reason, the Tifosi hope that this weekend will be the right opportunity to give new meaning to a season that, so far, has offered few joys to Ferrari fans. A victory would certainly boost morale ahead of the mid-season phase, which often proves decisive for the championship outcome.
Fred Vasseur’s Words Before the Weekend
“Spielberg is a very fast track, with a lap time just over one minute. This means gaps will be very tight, and everything must be perfect because every millisecond counts. We will need to be good at putting everything together,” Fred Vasseur said.
This is something that has often been lacking for Ferrari at the start of the season, as confirmed by the team’s key figures in several interviews. At Spielberg, it will be essential to immediately get every element right to avoid chasing during the race.
“The challenge is made even tougher by the fact that nearly all the corners are right-handers and there are several changes in elevation. We have worked hard in Maranello to combine all the necessary factors to deliver the best possible performance. Charles, Lewis, and the whole team are focused on giving their best on a track that often offers one of the most spectacular races of the season,” added Ferrari’s Team Principal.
