F1, Ferrari: new rumors from Spain on Christian Horner and Frederic Vasseur. Spanish media reveal new details about the rumors linking Christian Horner to Ferrari.

Christian Horner, Fred Vasseur, 2025 F1

The latest news once again places Christian Horner at the center of attention, with talk of a potential move to Ferrari and an early departure for Frederic Vasseur. Fresh information has now emerged from Spain, shedding light on what could become one of the most surprising developments in recent Formula 1 history.

If these rumors were to come true, it would undoubtedly be a sensational twist: Christian Horner, the former Red Bull team principal, could be heading to Maranello. The latest reports suggest that John Elkann might be considering parting ways with Frederic Vasseur earlier than expected, paving the way for Horner to join Ferrari’s leadership structure. Spanish media outlets have now stepped in to clarify the situation and separate fact from speculation.

Over the past few days, new rumors have circulated suggesting that Christian Horner could replace Frederic Vasseur as team principal of Scuderia Ferrari starting in 2026. These whispers come only a few weeks after Horner’s departure from Red Bull became official, following months of internal tension within the Milton Keynes team.

According to these reports, Christian Horner could make a return to Formula 1 next season, possibly not as a team principal but rather as a shareholder or executive figure within a team’s management. Among the top contenders, Ferrari is viewed as both the most fascinating and the most realistic destination for such a move. However, in Maranello, the response to these rumors has been clear and decisive — and it comes directly from Spain’s Marca.

“These rumors do not even deserve to be commented on. We focus on facts, not on gossip. The fact is that our top management renewed their trust in Fred two months ago,” a team insider reportedly told the Spanish outlet. The statement refers to Frederic Vasseur, who has been the team principal of Ferrari since 2023. His multi-year contract was recently extended just before the summer break, a move that reaffirmed Ferrari’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to respecting existing agreements within the organization.

According to these internal statements, Frederic Vasseur is expected to continue leading the Scuderia into the 2026 Formula 1 season, with the clear objective of returning Ferrari to the top after too many years without major success. The team’s performance will, of course, be evaluated at the end of the current championship, but for now, the Italian team stands firmly behind its current management and shows no sign of changing direction.

In essence, while Christian Horner’s name continues to generate speculation across the paddock, Ferrari’s message remains one of stability and trust. The Maranello team appears determined to stay on its current path, guided by Vasseur, as it prepares for a crucial phase of development leading up to the significant 2026 regulations change. Whether or not Horner will ever play a role in Ferrari’s future remains uncertain, but for now, the official stance is unmistakable — confidence in Frederic Vasseur is absolute.
