Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton respond to reports of ‘secret documents’ sent to Ferrari. Charles Leclerc addresses rumors about Lewis Hamilton sending “secret documents” to Ferrari.

Monegasque Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has responded to the recent speculation surrounding Lewis Hamilton and the so-called “secret documents” that the seven-time world champion allegedly shared with Ferrari to help improve the team’s performance. Both drivers currently share a common goal: returning Scuderia Ferrari to the top step of the podium.

As the 2025 Formula 1 World Championship reaches its halfway point at the Belgian Grand Prix, Ferrari finds itself in a solid yet unfulfilling position. While the Italian team is currently ranked second in the Constructors’ Championship standings, the results so far have not entirely met expectations—especially in terms of consistent podiums and victories.

During the official press conference at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, where multiple drivers addressed the media ahead of the race weekend, Lewis Hamilton mentioned that he had sent internal technical documents to Maranello as part of his effort to contribute to Ferrari’s development. His teammate Charles Leclerc was later asked to comment on this gesture and whether it represented a shift in the team’s internal operations.

“In the end, we are all here to make Ferrari better,” Charles Leclerc stated, as quoted by ScuderiaFans.com. “Lewis is preparing his points of feedback, I’m preparing mine. Then we hold joint meetings where we share those points and discuss what we want to improve. We are fully aligned with the team, and everyone is working in the same direction, so there is no tension at all.”

Charles Leclerc further emphasized that Lewis Hamilton’s arrival has brought a fresh and valuable perspective to Ferrari, thanks to his extensive experience and different racing background.

“It’s always interesting to have someone—especially someone like Lewis—who comes from another culture and another team structure. He spent many years working with Mercedes, so he brings new ideas. That said, I don’t think it’s drastically different from the experiences I’ve had with other teammates in my career. At the end of the day, we’re all focused on improving the team together,” added Leclerc.

Charles Leclerc also addressed the topic of the internal documents themselves, downplaying the idea that this process is anything new or unusual for Ferrari.

“We prepare documents to explain certain things. There’s really nothing unusual about it, but Lewis does offer a unique perspective, and he has had an incredible career. We’re always reviewing these inputs, but it’s not something we’ve only just started doing,” explained the Ferrari driver.

“This kind of analysis happens before every Grand Prix. We begin by outlining key areas and marking what stands out or what we want to change. It’s simply part of our regular process. I don’t think there’s anything revolutionary going on.”

Ultimately, both drivers seem focused on a shared mission: building a stronger and more competitive Ferrari team, using every tool at their disposal—from race feedback to technical reviews—to push the legendary Scuderia back to the front of the Formula 1 grid.
