Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton has spoken openly about his deep commitment to Ferrari and his mission to bring the legendary Italian team back to winning ways. During the official press conference ahead of the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps, the British driver revealed a key aspect of his off-track involvement: he has been sending the team detailed technical and analytical reports, offering strategic insight to support Ferrari’s development path.
Lewis Hamilton’s actions underline a proactive and hands-on approach that extends well beyond his role behind the steering wheel. The experienced driver, who joined Scuderia Ferrari at the start of the 2025 Formula 1 season after leaving Mercedes-AMG Petronas, made it clear that he remains highly motivated to win — and especially to help the Prancing Horse return to the top of the sport.
Speaking to journalists during the media session, Lewis Hamilton explained: “After a few races into the season, I prepared a comprehensive document for the team. Then, during the summer break, I sent two more reports. The goal is to analyse in detail what needs to change in order for us to make a step forward in overall performance.”
When asked to elaborate on why he is taking such an active role, the British driver responded with total clarity and purpose: “I see massive potential in this team. However, Ferrari is a large organisation, and sometimes not every part of the machine is working as it should. That’s one of the reasons the team hasn’t achieved the level of success it deserves over the past years.”
Hamilton pointed out that even some of the biggest names in recent F1 history were unable to secure the title with the Scuderia. “Kimi Räikkönen, Fernando Alonso, Sebastian Vettel… all world champions. Yet none of them managed to win a championship with Ferrari. I refuse to let that happen to me.”
Determined not to leave anything to chance, the British driver is fully committed to driving change within Maranello. “I feel it’s my duty to challenge every area of the team — especially those who are in charge of making decisions. I want to build strong internal alliances and spark that critical momentum we need. I’m here to win.”
The message is unmistakably clear: Lewis Hamilton is determined to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to Ferrari’s return to winning form, not just with his talent on the track, but also through leadership, structure, and strategic input behind the scenes.
