Ferrari celebrated a landmark victory at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton securing his first Formula 1 win as a Ferrari driver and helping the Scuderia make significant gains in the Constructors’ Championship.
The success at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya carried extra significance for Ferrari. The Maranello team had not won at the Spanish venue since 2013, while their most recent Formula 1 victory before Barcelona had come at the 2024 Mexican Grand Prix.
Although Mercedes remains at the top of the standings, Ferrari’s strong points haul has reduced the gap and provided fresh momentum heading into the next phase of the season.
Elsewhere, McLaren, Red Bull, Alpine and Racing Bulls all placed both cars in the points, strengthening their positions in the midfield battle. The Constructors’ Championship is beginning to split into two distinct groups, with Haas, Williams, Audi, Aston Martin and Cadillac struggling to keep pace with the teams ahead.
