In the fifth race of the 2025 Formula 1 season, F1 heads to the track in Jeddah, and for this reason, we looked into the weather forecast for the weekend of the Saudi Arabian GP, which Ferrari hopes will validate the updates brought to the SF-25 as they aim to further reduce the gap to McLaren.
After securing fourth and fifth place in Sakhir, the Maranello team is aiming for its first podium of the season on Saudi soil. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc got their first taste of the updates introduced on the SF-25 single-seater, which the Maranello technicians hope will be more effective in Jeddah.
At the same time, it will be interesting to see if Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc’s direct rivals will confirm the performances shown in Bahrain, or if we’ll see a shift in the pecking order on the Saudi street circuit.
The weather forecast for the Jeddah weekend
In Saudi Arabia, the heat is expected to return. This is a factor not to be underestimated, as in Bahrain — as well as during testing — Ferrari was forced to open the cooling slots on the SF-25’s engine cover to avoid overheating. We’ll see if the team faces similar issues in Jeddah.
Friday
The fifth weekend of the season will follow the standard format. Teams will have two free practice sessions on Friday, and the weather is expected to be favorable. No rainfall is forecast during the day, with temperatures hovering around 30°C when the cars are on track.
Saturday
The situation should remain much the same on Saturday. Temperatures are expected to stay around 32°C during the fifth qualifying session of the year.
Sunday
Temperatures are expected to be around 33°C when the cars take to the track for the fifth race of the 2025 Formula 1 season. No rain is expected throughout the day, and the weather should be ideal for an exciting race.
