The Enzo Ferrari biopic has released its initial trailer in anticipation of the film’s Christmas Day premiere in U.S. theaters. Michael Mann, known for his previous works like “Ali,” the story of boxing legend Muhammad Ali, and “Miami Vice,” directs this film. The movie centers on the late 1950s, with a particular focus on Ferrari’s life during the 1957 Mille Miglia and the profound impact of his son Dino’s passing due to Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 1956.
Adam Driver takes on the role of Enzo Ferrari, renowned as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars series, while Penelope Cruz plays Laura Ferrari, Dino’s mother. The character of Sir Stirling Moss, who notably never raced for Ferrari in Formula 1 following a disagreement, is portrayed by Ben Collins, formerly known as The Stig on the BBC’s automotive show “Top Gear.” Tommaso Basili assumes the character of Gianni Agnelli, the former head of FIAT, whose grandson John Elkann now chairs Ferrari and the Stellantis group.
