In an interview with the German media yesterday, Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali announced that the 2022 Formula 1 calendar would be made public within two weeks and that there would be 23 races, starting in Bahrain and without an event in Germany. But in the paddock there is already a sort of unofficial draft of the next season and it was reported in his blog by the well-known British journalist Joe Saward. Let’s find out in detail:

Notes: there is concern about the Melbourne race – which did not take place in the last two seasons due to the difficulties related to Covid-19 – and also about the entry regulations for European citizens in the United States; a Las Vegas Grand Prix is not expected for a couple of years; the Barcelona race would have won a sort of runoff with Imola; the Monaco GP 2022 will go from the traditional 4 days of the weekend to 3; the French GP is in trouble and if there is no full house in the stands, the event in 2022 could be the last race at Paul Ricard; the Qatar Grand Prix will enter the calendar from 2023, because at the end of 2022 the country on the Arabian peninsula will host the Football World Cup.
