F1 is always striving for progress, but the roots of this sport remain firmly in place over time, and F1 Authentics has decided to pay tribute to Michael Schumacher by auctioning off a show car of a vehicle that features references to the German driver.
Michael Schumacher made his F1 debut with Jordan, with which he only raced one race. He completed the rest of the season with Benetton, where he replaced Roberto Moreno, partnering with Nelson Piquet.
In his early GPs with the team, Schumacher drove the Benetton B191. This car was an evolution of the car the team had initially designed and is the one that is being auctioned. We are talking about the B190B, which the team only brought to two events.
However, the car in question is not the original one. It is a reproduction, and the names of Nelson Piquet and Michael Schumacher have been added to the livery. Since it was reconstructed, the starting price of this auction is not particularly high. Bidding starts at €10,000, and anyone interested in trying to win it can submit their bid by April 22 by clicking on this link.
After this dive into the past, it’s time to focus on the present, as the Bahrain GP approaches. Will Ferrari manage to bounce back after a disappointing start? Will Verstappen continue to get in McLaren’s way? We’ll just have to wait for the on-track action to begin to answer these questions.
