Ferrari emerges from a very difficult weekend
Just over a week separates the two Ferrari drivers from the penultimate Grand Prix of the year at the Las Vegas street circuit. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc left the Brazilian weekend in the worst possible way: starting from the back, the race unfolded in a completely different direction compared to Saturday’s qualifying session. Unfortunately, the weekend ended with a double retirement, pushing Ferrari down to fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Adding to the team’s challenges, Ferrari President John Elkann made strong remarks directed at the drivers in the days following the race, further intensifying the pressure on the Scuderia.
SF-23 returns to the track
Meanwhile, at Fiorano, the SF-23 is back on track to complete an important test session. According to AutoRacer.it, the purpose of this activity is to optimally prepare the car for the first official test of the Cadillac F1 team, which will join the top category next season. Ferrari has decided to provide two days of TPC testing specifically for the American team, which will also receive Power Units from the Italian manufacturer.
After this initial test, Sergio Perez will take to the track at Imola on November 13 and 14 in an SF-23 sporting a neutral livery. This session is particularly important for the Mexican driver, who will experience the Ferrari engine for the first time, gaining essential data ahead of Cadillac’s debut in Formula 1.
