A Season of dreams
In football, summer is the time of year when all fans dream of the arrival of champions in their team, and all clubs feel they have the potential to win the title.
In Formula 1, however, winter is the season when everything seems possible, and often the press rides the wave of incredible comebacks from behind. We’re not at the Fantozzi level of “it was said that Italy was winning 20-0 and Zoff even scored with a header,” but sometimes it’s close.
Especially in recent years, due to the drastic reduction of winter testing (this year there will be only 3 days), much is said about miraculous performances in the simulator of this or that team, to be verified in front of the most unforgiving judge of all: the track.
The Ferrari 2024
From the columns of today’s edition of the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, there is some encouraging news regarding the progress of the next Ferrari car for the upcoming season: “At the moment, the F2024, or whatever it will be called, in simulations shows something like seven-tenths of improvement compared to the SF-23 at the end of the championship, which was not bad at all.” – the Italian media pointed out.
Statements that have to be verified on the track, starting from the very first laps at Fiorano that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will complete after the presentation of the car, scheduled for February 13.

Shuffling in the Technical Teams
The Italian newspaper has also provided further details on the people working on the 2024 Formula 1 project. Rory Byrne – the historic architect of Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari cars – “is constantly present in Maranello” overseeing activities. Loic Serra, coming from Mercedes, “will be on duty only at the end of 2024,” and it’s no coincidence that his official announcement has not yet arrived.

The former strategist Inaki Rueda, on the other hand, “leaves the F1 group and could be employed in other departments.” Confirmation received from Ravin Jain, always in the field of strategies on the pit wall, “defended by Fred Vasseur.”
Corriere dello Sport then announced Marco Matassa’s move to AlphaTauri and the calculation engineer Eric Meignan’s “move to Renault.”
