The Formula 1 paddock isn’t just about the track. Sometimes, personal moments shine through, as seen during the media day for the Australian Grand Prix, when Haas shared a brief video capturing a heartfelt interaction between Ollie Bearman and Charles Leclerc.
Bearman congratulates Leclerc with a thoughtful gift
The video shows the young British driver approaching the Monegasque Ferrari star to greet him and offer congratulations on his recent wedding. The encounter is casual and genuine. Bearman walks up and asks: “How are you?” Charles Leclerc responds with a smile: “Good, and you?” Immediately after, Bearman gets to the point: “Congratulations.”
Leclerc thanks him and jokes about the gift he received: “Thanks for the flowers! I’m pretty sure… you picked them yourself,” he says laughing. Bearman grins widely and replies: “As always, I’m the one thinking about these things.”
The exchange refers to the wedding present Bearman sent to Charles and Alexandra Leclerc: a bouquet of flowers celebrating their marriage. Haas accompanied the clip with a simple caption: “A big congrats to Charles from Ollie.”
Charles and Alexandra’s wedding
The gesture comes just days after one of the most significant moments in the Ferrari driver’s private life. Charles Leclerc married Alexandra Saint Mleux in a civil ceremony held in Monaco at the end of February, shortly before the start of the 2026 Formula 1 season.
The ceremony was intimate, attended by close friends and family in the driver’s hometown. Social media posts later showed the couple leaving the ceremony in a vintage Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, adding a classic F1 flair to the celebration.
Leclerc and Alexandra have been together since 2023 and announced their engagement in the autumn of 2025. Since then, their relationship has captured fans’ attention, becoming one of the most popular couples in the F1 paddock.
Celebrating the new chapter
From heartfelt congratulations to small gestures like Oliver Bearman’s thoughtful gift, the Formula 1 family continues to celebrate this exciting new chapter in Charles Leclerc’s life as he gears up for the Australian GP and the 2026 season.
As Charles Leclerc heads into the 2026 Australian GP with a new wedding ring and the support of his paddock peers, the positive energy surrounding the Ferrari camp is undeniable. This blend of personal happiness and professional focus might be exactly what the Monegasque needs to kickstart his title challenge in Melbourne.
