At last, the wait is over. After months of anticipation, Formula 1 is ready to fire up its engines once again and officially open the 2026 season. The Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne will not only mark the first race of the year, but also the debut event of a brand-new regulatory cycle. In Abu Dhabi, the championship said goodbye to ground-effect cars, and now the paddock is ready to welcome a new generation of single-seaters featuring active aerodynamics and the latest power unit concept.
Everything is set at Albert Park. From March 6 to March 8, the fastest cars on the planet will take to the 5.278-kilometre circuit, delivering the first on-track battle of the season and offering fans an early glimpse of how the new Formula 1 era may unfold.
As always, the Formula 1 World Championship will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1. Below you can find the official timetable for the Australian Grand Prix weekend, with all sessions covered in full.
