Lewis Hamilton pushes Ferrari to improve, but no miracles expected in Austin
After the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton sent a clear message to Ferrari with some very direct words. “We’re getting our approach wrong. We go out in qualifying too early and end up cooling the tyres,” he told the media, adding that there were other areas where the team still needed to fine-tune its working methods. Once back in Italy, the British driver didn’t just sit back and wait — instead, he took an active role in drawing the team’s attention to every detail that, in his view, still needed improvement.
“After the last race, we analyzed what could be done better. I’m certain that here we can take a step forward — not necessarily in terms of pure performance, but in how we prepare to extract the potential of the car, which is there, just hidden,” Lewis Hamilton explained to reporters ahead of the United States Grand Prix. His words conveyed hope, but also realism, as the seven-time world champion avoided making bold predictions about Ferrari’s results in Austin. Instead, he opted for a more cautious tone: “We can’t set expectations for the weekend. What I can say is that we’ll give it everything we’ve got, and we’re continuing to improve. Every weekend brings many positive takeaways, but also several areas where we can still do better.” – the British driver concluded.
