The latest image published by Spanish F1 reported Albert Fabrega shows a comparison of the rear wings of Mercedes, Scuderia Ferrari, Alpine at the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal ahead of the 2023 Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix.
As always, the Red Bull RB19 single-seater has the highest load, both in terms of impact and extension, with the lower profile tapering very little near the side panels. The car’s high aerodynamic efficiency allows for such an imposing rear wing without excessive drag, and it is also the one that gains the most when the DRS is open.
Alpine also has a high load (but less than Red Bull), while Mercedes and Ferrari have a similar configuration, with the Maranello team once again being the lightest in the group.
The cars have been assembled in the pit boxes, and when they come out onto the pit lane, we will have much clearer images.

Ferrari is not bringing any updates to the rear suspension in Canada, which have apparently been postponed for the following rounds. The reasons most likely concern the need for further testing on the package that debuted in Spain. The floor also appears unchanged. Instead, they will work on the flows coming from the front wing and optimize the setup by replicating some parameters used by Carlos Sainz in Barcelona on Charles Leclerc’s SF-23 car.
