Disney and F1 together to bring Mickey Mouse and his friends to the grid starting in 2026. The new commercial partnership linking the Circus to the American multinational aims at younger audiences, who are increasingly involved in the top series. The very young audience is growing, as shown by the data: more than four million children, aged between 8 and 12, follow the Grands Prix across Europe and North America.
Imola reignites the world championship and with it the enthusiasm of spectators. What was feared to be a McLaren solo, after a winter of hopes for an “open championship,” now realistically seems in question. Red Bull and Max Verstappen are closing in on the Woking duo, promising a battle already from the next two European triple-header rounds, in Monaco and Barcelona.
Unpredictability on track means interest from fans, which initially seemed to wane after the first stages of 2025. But Formula 1’s success is indisputable, and more and more brands from all over the world – and from all sectors – want to start being part of it. From 2026, therefore, space will also be given to Disney and “Mickey & Friends,” with all the characters from the Mickey universe.
Mickey Mouse in F1 from 2026: merchandising, experiences, and content
“Our collaboration with Disney promises to be brilliant,” says Formula 1 CCO Emily Prazer. “We will introduce the world of Mickey & Friends to our fans and vice versa. It fits perfectly within our vision of breaking down the barriers of sport to enter a broader market and, in return, we will bring Disney closer to our 820 million fans worldwide.”
“It’s a fantastic pairing, as both brands are known for pushing their limits and delivering fun and excitement to millions of people. I can’t wait to see what our teams will come up with for the circuit and beyond.”
Enthusiasm also comes from Tasia Filippatos, President of Disney Consumer Products: “As we celebrate nearly a century since the birth of the Mickey Universe, our collaboration with Formula 1 offers a unique opportunity to unite two entertainment giants to create products that fans will love. This exciting partnership will develop on a global stage, with unforgettable content and experiences designed for Disney and Formula 1 fans.”
