Charles Leclerc explained why he will race in Monaco wearing a Ferrari suit colored white and blue. This time, it is not related to a sponsor.
Charles Leclerc will take to the track in Monaco with a Ferrari suit colored white and blue, although the reason for this choice is not linked to HP. In Miami, in fact, the SF-25’s livery was changed to celebrate the partnership with the American company. This choice did not please the fans, who would have preferred a color scheme more inspired by some past design, like what happened in Las Vegas. For this reason, when the Maranello team presented the suit that number 16 will wear during his home weekend, many thought the light blue was still connected to the Italian side’s main sponsor.
Charles explains the reason for the ‘baby blue’
Charles Leclerc himself put an end to any speculation with a video published on Instagram, explaining why his Ferrari suit for the Monaco weekend will be white and blue. “Here we are. We are at one of the most important weekends of the year. And for this, I have something special to show you, which is the suit I will use on track. You’re probably wondering why it will be colored ‘baby blue.’ If you’ve followed me for a while, you know this is my favorite color. It reminds me of the colors of home and the swimsuit I used to wear as a child to go to the sea. I really like it. I hope it can help me replicate what I did last year. It will be difficult, but I will try my best. Bye.” – the Monegasque driver explained.
Based on what has been seen so far this season, Ferrari does not arrive in Monaco as the favorite. However, the Monaco Grand Prix often proves to be a weekend full of twists that could offer fans a result that seems unlikely at first. Securing a good qualifying position will be crucial since, historically, Monaco is not a race rich in overtaking opportunities.
