The former Ferrari engineer, Luigi Mazzola, commented on the Miami Grand Prix during the Sky Race Anatomy show.
Luigi Mazzola’s Words
These are his statements regarding Ferrari’s performance: “We can say that the motto has changed a bit. Before, there was Mattia Binotto who ‘needed to understand,’ now there is Fred Vasseur who ‘needs to find.’
“They are searching for this so-called potential, but they can’t find it. Let’s be clear: they can’t find it because it doesn’t exist. Both drivers are convinced of this, and the performances speak for themselves… I have another doubt: every time Fred Vasseur is asked about updates, whether for Imola or Barcelona, he downplays them.” – the former Ferrari engineer pointed out – “I have this feeling, and I really hope I’m wrong, that the developments coming in are really minimal [in terms of improving the competitiveness of the SF-25, editor’s note]. This would explain why he [Fred Vasseur, editor’s note] shifts the focus onto potential, but it is inconsistent with what the drivers are saying.” – he added.
“It seems like quite a disastrous situation for him [the team principal, editor’s note], in this sense, if he continues to go on about this,” concluded Luigi Mazzola after the Miami Grand Prix weekend.
