Leclerc, Alonso, Norris – FP3 best lap telemetry comparison | 2021 Dutch GP. FP3 best lap telemetry comparison.

Ferrari loses a bit of its shine at Zandvoort circuit compared to the previous day. The impression is that, as we anticipated yesterday, the biggest problem was a big leap in performance by the whole group that Ferrari was starting in front of for a better job in the factory. It will therefore be a very tight battle: we have graphically put together the laps of Alonso, Norris and Charles Leclerc to get a better idea.

Alpine continues to go very fast in the first sector, thanks to a great top speed and a good transition by Alonso between turn 2 and turn 3. At turn 3 the best is Charles Leclerc but that is not enough and the time lost by the SF21 in the first third of track is what then puts the Monegasque driver in a difficult position to fight with the Alipine. In the second sector, Alonso is in difficulty at turn 7, while Norris finds an excellent performance at turns 8 and 9. In the third sector it is Alonso who shines again in the chicane and then sees more or less similar performances, even if Charles suffers on the straight before opening the DRS, a sign that the SF21 car has a lot of downforce and is probably lacking on the power front. Ferrari also seems to have tried with a few more kilos of fuel than yesterday, so the expectation is that the battle for the third force will come down to the thousandth. It won’t take much to find space in the second row or even to be out of Q3. The qualifying challenge will still be important between drivers, perhaps even more than between cars, so the show could truly have the highest level of the entire weekend.
