The start of the third free practice session at the Zandvoort circuit reserved a negative surprise for Ferrari fans, after the excellent news on Friday. After about 20 minutes, Carlos Sainz went into the wall coming out of turn-2. In Maranello, therefore, the damage must be evaluated, also because qualifying is in two and a half hours and certainly, given the nature of the impact, the gearbox and the chassis, which could be replaced, are worrying.
According to the data collected by Federico Albano, Carlos Sainz lifts his foot from the accelerator to take the second corner (first arrow), then when the uses the accelerator pedal again (second arrow) with the pendulum effect of the rear he loses the Ferrari # 55 at about 195 km / h. The accident caused a red flag, yet another in this Dutch weekend.

[Update 1.15pm] – Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari is back in the pits now. 105 minutes available to the mechanics to repair the SF21 # 55 in view of the Qualifying session at Zandvoort.
