Elkann: “These are Ferrari’s 250 victories. Great things happen when we work together”
Ferrari president John Elkann, who was present in the Silverstone garage, celebrated Charles Leclerc’s British Grand Prix victory and praised the unity that continues to drive the Scuderia forward.
A Ferrari team back to winning ways
Following Lewis Hamilton’s victory in Barcelona, Charles Leclerc also returned to the top step of the podium by taking a memorable win for Ferrari at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. These were far from straightforward victories. Both were hard-fought successes, making them even more rewarding for the Scuderia.
Although Ferrari still has work to do before consistently matching Mercedes, the team’s steady stream of incremental improvements is delivering clear progress. Winning two of the last three Grands Prix provides the perfect boost in confidence and motivation as the Maranello squad continues its pursuit of the front of the field. It is also a result that gave Ferrari president John Elkann plenty to smile about.
John Elkann: “Charles drove a great race”
John Elkann was in the Ferrari garage throughout the race and celebrated the victory alongside the team. Speaking to Sky afterwards, he was clearly delighted.
“These are Ferrari’s 250 victories, and the very first one came here at Silverstone. That shows just how important this moment is for our history, especially for today and for the future. When Ferrari, and everyone within Ferrari, work together—from our outstanding drivers, Charles drove a great race, to the entire team, both in Maranello and here at the track—great things happen.”
John Elkann concluded with a message for the entire Ferrari family: “It’s important to always give your best. It’s important to believe. It’s important that all our fans stand behind Ferrari, and everyone in Maranello and here at the circuit shares the same determination to succeed. When Ferrari is united, it achieves great things. Forza Ferrari!”
