Jean Alesi has married his partner Anja in a private ceremony in Nerano, Campania, with several prominent figures from the Formula 1 world attending the celebration. The former Ferrari driver’s wedding provided an unusual and glamorous F1-related gathering just days before attention shifts north to Monza for the 2026 Italian Grand Prix.
Campania was the setting for the special occasion yesterday, with Nerano chosen as the location for an extremely private ceremony. The event was deliberately kept away from the spotlight, but inevitably attracted attention because of the high-profile names from Formula 1 who joined Alesi and his bride.

Among those attending the celebration were Formula 1 President and CEO Stefano Domenicali and former Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo. Both were present at the party organised to celebrate the marriage of the Franco-Italian former driver and Anja.
The occasion offered a very different setting from the paddock in which Alesi spent much of his racing career. Instead of engines, garages and race strategy, some familiar figures from the championship gathered on the Italian coast for a highly private celebration.
Alesi remains particularly closely associated with Ferrari, having become one of the most recognisable drivers to represent the Maranello team during his Formula 1 career. His wedding therefore provided something of an informal prelude to an important week for the Scuderia and its supporters.
From Nerano to Monza ahead of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix
The Campania celebrations will now give way to events in Brianza, where many of Formula 1’s leading figures will reunite for one of the most eagerly awaited weekends of the year for Italian fans. Interest in the event is already extremely high, with Sunday at the 2026 Italian Grand Prix sold out amid strong Ferrari demand.
Monza will also be the setting for an important anniversary in the history of the Prancing Horse. The Italian Grand Prix weekend will commemorate 30 years since Michael Schumacher claimed his first Formula 1 victory as a Ferrari driver during the 1996 season.
Ferrari has chosen to mark that anniversary with special visual elements designed to evoke the German champion’s first season with the team. The Maranello squad is preparing a special SF-26 livery inspired by Michael Schumacher’s Ferrari era, taking the atmosphere around the team back towards 1996.

That year marked the beginning of Schumacher’s sequence of victories in Ferrari colours, with the German taking his first win for the Scuderia at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. Three decades later, Ferrari is using the Monza weekend to celebrate the beginning of one of the most important chapters in its Formula 1 history.
The Italian Grand Prix is one of the central fixtures on the 2026 Formula 1 calendar, and the combination of Ferrari’s home race and the Schumacher anniversary will give the weekend additional significance for the Tifosi.
Before the engines fire up at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, however, Formula 1 has enjoyed a very different Italian interlude: a private wedding, the scenery of Campania and a gathering that brought together some important personalities from the sport.
