The Ferrari effect is already being felt at Monza ahead of the 2026 Italian Grand Prix, with tickets for race day on Sunday 6 September sold out as huge numbers of fans prepare to return to the Temple of Speed. However, anyone still hoping to experience Formula 1 live at Monza can still find tickets for Friday and Saturday.
Formula 1 will return to the historic Italian circuit in just over a week for one of the most eagerly anticipated weekends of the season. The 2026 Italian Grand Prix at Monza will retain the traditional Grand Prix format this year, before the event switches to the Sprint format in 2027, bringing a Saturday Sprint race into the programme.
Monza is preparing for a weekend packed with track action and entertainment, but attention will inevitably centre on Ferrari. Expectations around the Maranello team and its drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, are particularly high as the Scuderia returns to its most important home event of the Formula 1 season.
2026 Italian GP Sunday tickets at Monza are sold out
The strong Ferrari following has helped drive enormous demand for tickets, with Sunday 6 September selling out very quickly. Race-day availability is therefore exhausted, but there are still opportunities for fans who want to attend the Italian Grand Prix weekend in person.
TicketOne, the exclusive ticket retailer, still has some availability for both Friday and Saturday. Those two days give spectators the chance to experience Formula 1 at Monza alongside a full programme of support-series action, while Saturday also includes the crucial qualifying session that will determine the starting grid for the Grand Prix.
Fans planning their weekend can also check the full 2026 Italian GP schedule and session times before choosing which day to attend.
Friday Monza tickets start from €50
For Friday, which features the opening Formula 1 practice sessions, General Admission tickets for the Circolare Prato areas remain available. These are the cheapest tickets currently offered and cost €50.
For only €2 more, at a total price of €52, spectators can instead purchase access to the small unnumbered stone grandstand located on the inside of the Parabolica.
A limited number of seats also remain in grandstands positioned along Monza’s straights and close to some of the circuit’s most important chicanes, including the Prima Variante and Ascari. According to the seating map available through TicketOne, places remain across all seating categories, although availability is limited in some areas.
Friday therefore represents the cheapest remaining opportunity to enter the circuit and experience Formula 1 machinery around Monza, while also offering access to the rest of the day’s support-race programme.
Saturday tickets available for practice and qualifying
The situation is similar for Saturday 5 September, when the final Formula 1 practice session and qualifying will take place. The main difference compared with Friday is the higher ticket price.
The Circolare Prato General Admission ticket, which represents the entry-level option for accessing the circuit, starts from €70 on Saturday. A place in the small grandstand on the inside of the Michele Alboreto Parabolica costs €85.
At the other end of the price range, the most expensive remaining ticket costs €297. This provides access either to grandstand 6C on the inside of the Prima Variante or to the covered grandstand situated on the main straight.
With qualifying among the highlights of Saturday’s programme, demand is naturally higher than on Friday. Ferrari supporters will also have the chance to follow Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc as the Scuderia prepares for its home Grand Prix, with all the latest developments collected in ScuderiaFans’ Lewis Hamilton coverage and Charles Leclerc coverage.
Italian GP tickets provide full-day access from 08:00
Each ticket is valid for a single day and allows spectators to enter the Monza circuit from 08:00 in the morning. Formula 1 will not be the only category on track, meaning fans can expect a busy timetable throughout the day.
Formula 3, Formula 2 and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup are also scheduled to race during the Italian Grand Prix weekend. Italy has several representatives competing across those categories, adding another point of interest for the home crowd beyond the Formula 1 action.
For those attending Monza, arriving early therefore provides the opportunity to experience considerably more than the Formula 1 sessions alone, with support-category running filling much of the weekend programme before the main events take place.
How to upgrade a Monza General Admission ticket to a grandstand
Fans who already hold a Circolare Prato General Admission ticket also have the option of paying the difference to upgrade to a grandstand seat.
According to the official Monza website, monzanet.it, the initiative applies exclusively to single-day tickets for Friday 4 September and Saturday 5 September. It does not apply to Sunday tickets or three-day weekend passes, and upgrades remain subject to grandstand availability.
The online procedure requires ticket holders to visit the TicketOne section dedicated to the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix and select the individual Friday or Saturday ticket for which they want to make the upgrade.
Within the promotions section, they must then select the option labelled Differenza da Circolare G/A a Tribuna, meaning the price difference from General Admission to a grandstand seat. The Fiscal Seal code, identified as S.F., from the existing Circolare Prato General Admission ticket must then be entered.
After the code has been accepted, the spectator can select the desired grandstand and seat before completing the additional purchase. The possibility of upgrading remains available only while seats last.
With race day already sold out, Friday and Saturday now represent the remaining opportunities for fans still hoping to attend Formula 1 at Monza in 2026. Prices range from the €50 Friday General Admission ticket to the €297 premium Saturday grandstand options, while existing General Admission holders can still upgrade their tickets where eligible and subject to availability.
