The introduction of different aerodynamic regulations for 2022 with the goal of reducing the “dirty air” produced by last years’ cars has given Ferrari fans fresh hope that the Maranello team will finally be able to challenge Mercedes and Red Bull for race wins and Formula 1 titles in 2022 and the years to come.
For the moment we have seen the Haas and Aston Martin cars for the 2022 campaign, as we wait for Scuderia Ferrari to officially present its new challenger which Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will drive this season, a drastically different car that Ferrari is confident will provide the drivers with much more chances to fight for important results.
In this regard, Carlos Sainz sees no stress at Ferrari, instead only “desire” throughout the Maranello team to improve and get back on top as the sport behins its new and exciting era.
The Spanish driver is ready for the 2022 Formula 1 championship after a very strong first season with the Italian side, which saw him score four podium finishes on his way to a fifth place in the 2021 Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship, ahead of McLaren’s Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc.
Carlos Sainz has confirmed that he is prepared well for the following campaign as Formula 1 begins a new chapter in its history. Importantly though, this is also seen as a major opportunity for Scuderia Ferrari, who given the completely different rule have set the goal of once again contending for race victories and titles.

The first pre-season testing session will take place at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona later this month and Carlos Sainz is happy with the feeling he is picking up from his Ferrari colleagues.
“If it is easy to drive, everything emerges faster, the lap times come almost by themselves. Then you have to compare the data with those of others. I don’t think the first test in Barcelona is enough, but in Bahrain we will have some certain information. Full of energy and positivity. I think last year’s experience did us all good. In the corridors, in Maranello, I meet smiling, toned and confident people. I don’t see stress, I see the desire to do well.” – Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz concluded, with just five days until the Maranello team’s car launch.
