Important updates for F1 TV in the 2025 season: what will change?. Formula 1 has announced the launch of F1 TV Premium.

Formula 1 has announced the launch of F1 TV Premium, an advanced version of its streaming platform that introduces significant improvements for fans. The new service offers 4K Ultra HD/HDR broadcasts and introduces the Multiview feature, but most importantly, it allows content to be watched on up to six devices simultaneously—an exclusive new feature not available in previous packages. Will F1 TV also be available in Italy?

F1 TV Premium: Key Features
The new F1 TV Premium subscription will take Formula 1 viewing to the next level with advanced features, including:

Streaming in 4K Ultra HD/HDR for all Formula 1 sessions, including Qualifying, Sprint, and Races.
Live access to Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy, and Porsche Supercup.
Ability to watch F1 on up to six devices simultaneously, an exclusive feature of F1 TV Premium.
New Multiview function, allowing simultaneous viewing of multiple broadcast elements, including the live feed, onboard cameras, and real-time data.
Compatible Devices
At launch, F1 TV Premium will be available on:

Chrome browser.
Apple iOS devices and Apple TV.
Roku devices.
The Multiview feature will initially be available for users on Apple iOS, Chrome web browser, and compatible TVOS devices.
Upgrade Required to Stream F1 on Six Devices
One of the key differences between the various subscriptions is the ability to use up to six devices simultaneously, a feature available exclusively with the F1 TV Premium package. None of the other options, not even F1 TV Pro, offer this capability.

Differences Between F1 TV Plans
With the introduction of F1 TV Premium, Formula 1’s streaming service is now divided into three distinct tiers with different pricing:

F1 TV Access: Costs $3.49 per month and provides access to live race data and race replays but does not allow live viewing of sessions.
F1 TV Pro: Available for $10.99 per month, offering live, ad-free viewing of all Formula 1 sessions, onboard cameras, team radio, and exclusive content.
F1 TV Premium: The most comprehensive package, costing $16.99 per month, introducing 4K Ultra HD quality, the Multiview feature, and most importantly, the ability to watch Formula 1 on up to six devices simultaneously—an exclusive feature no longer available on F1 TV Pro.
Will F1 TV Be Available in Italy?
Despite the new features, F1 TV Premium will not be accessible to users in Italy. Currently, only the F1 TV Access service is available in Italy, providing real-time data and race replays but without live session streaming.

The exclusive broadcasting rights for Formula 1 in Italy remain with Sky, which holds them until 2027. As a result, Italian fans will have to continue watching live broadcasts through Sky Sport F1 or the NOW TV app.

“Since its inception, F1 TV has evolved into one of the most sophisticated streaming platforms in sports. F1 TV Premium further enhances the viewing experience, allowing fans to fully immerse themselves in every wheel-to-wheel battle and every decisive moment of the season. This new service is a testament to our ongoing commitment to improving content offerings for fans, creating an experience that matches their passion.”
