Gerhard Berger also reminded fans how Jean Todt needed years before becoming the strongest team leader: “I believe the most important thing is to remain calm and focus on continuity, consistency, and team cohesion. Gerhard Berger backs Lando Norris: the favorite for the World Championship
With three races remaining and the Drivers’ Championship standings beginning to take shape, Gerhard Berger warned that the title could already be decided, given Lando Norris’s current form and Max Verstappen’s challenging pursuit. He expressed confidence about the outcome: “It would be nice if Verstappen won, but I think he lost too many points last weekend. Never say never, but it will be difficult. He will need some luck. Under normal circumstances, I would say Norris is very likely to be the winner.” – the former Ferrari driver pointed out.
Gerhard Berger also shared his thoughts on Oscar Piastri: “He is going through a somewhat difficult period at the moment, but he will come back. He is young and starting to feel pressure with the possibility of being a champion. I think it is very important for him to stay calm. If he doesn’t win this year, I am sure he will win another year because he is a very talented driver.”
