A 2026 season to bounce back
After a disappointing season like the current one, in which the number of wins for both drivers remains at zero with just a few races to go, Ferrari must absolutely recover. For now, the goal is to secure second place in the Constructors’ Championship, ahead of both Red Bull and Mercedes. However, if this does not happen, considering the current fourth place, the Maranello engineers will have even more hours to spend in the wind tunnel working on the new 2026 Formula 1 car.
There will be no room for mistakes in the project again. A new era must start in the best possible way, progressing race by race, year by year, until reaching the peak level of development for the project.
The drivers’ assessment
The new regulations still leave many questions, which will only be answered after the first kilometers of testing. In the meantime, all teams have completed significant mileage on simulators. As reported by the Italian website Autoracer.it, both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have a clear vision after driving the latest version of the 2026 Ferrari. The two drivers fully approved the progress made by the engineers and gave positive signals to the team, allowing development work to continue with greater confidence.
