Despite not revealing the names of the hired technicians, Ferrari Team Principal Frederic Vasseur has stated that some announcements regarding the 2024 and 2025 technical market will be made soon. The French manager has also provided insights into the timing of the new personnel’s integration, with some technicians set to begin in a few months, while others will start at the beginning of the next season and in early 2025.
Vasseur Unveils the Plan for the Inclusion of New Ferrari Technicians for 2024 and 2025
“Recruitment is a very lengthy process,” the Frenchman told the media, including F1ingenerale, about the Prancing Horse’s recent recruitment campaign. “As a result, we have people who will join us in a couple of months. Some will start in January 2024, others in July 2024, and still others at the beginning of 2025.”
“It’s a very long process and in a way, it’s also a bit frustrating because you have the feeling of working for two or three years from today. But if you don’t start doing it, you will never get it. We have to persist. I think we’ve taken good steps forward.” – the French manager pointed out.
Frederic Vasseur is quite confident about the new technicians’ recruitment process, aimed at bolstering the staff in Maranello and contributing to the team’s future cars. The Team Principal himself had admitted recently that 25 new technicians have already been hired, each with different integration timelines.
“I will never give you the names,” Fred Vasseur continues. “But before finalizing everything, including agreements with the current teams of the technicians, it’s important to maintain confidentiality and a good approach to avoid compromising anything. Announcements will be made soon.” – the Ferrari boss continued.

“With the cost cap, you can’t hire solely based on salary, as it would be a nightmare. We have to be efficient in recruitment. This means choosing the right people who take the necessary time to understand where we are, where we need to improve, and with a good plan. The main focus is to build the right project with the people we are bringing in.”
Before thinking about the 2024 Formula 1 championship, though, there’s the rest of 2023 to finish on an upward trajectory, starting immediately with Zandvoort. The Dutch Grand Prix marks the first step in the resumption of the summer break. Therefore, the red team’s goal is to optimize everything with the current technical staff, while awaiting the new additions in the upcoming seasons.
