On the eve of the Silverstone Grand Prix weekend, Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur spoke about the recent upgrades to the Ferrari SF-25 and shared expectations for Lewis Hamilton’s home race.
After having left the Spielberg paddock for personal reasons, Fred Vasseur is expected to be present at Silverstone, the home race for Lewis Hamilton, as confirmed by the Ferrari Team Principal himself during the race weekend preview. Fred Vasseur took the opportunity to praise the recent technical updates introduced on the SF-25.
At the Red Bull Ring circuit in Austria, Ferrari introduced a new floor design that brought increased stability and improved performance for both Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. Both drivers expressed satisfaction with the enhancements and are eager to have access to the full upgrade package. The new rear suspension, originally expected to debut at Silverstone, will now arrive later at the Belgian Grand Prix in Spa-Francorchamps.
Fred Vasseur’s Words Ahead of Silverstone
“After Austria, we move to Silverstone, a very different track and one of the great classics on the calendar. The upgrades introduced on the SF-25 at Spielberg certainly contributed to the good result we achieved last Sunday, and we want to carry this positive momentum into the upcoming race. We have seen how important it is to carefully manage every aspect of the race weekend to deliver a solid performance, and as always, we will focus on ourselves with the aim of putting together another clean weekend. This is Lewis’s home race, and he will be especially motivated to perform well, thanks also to the tremendous support he always receives here. I am looking forward to being on track with the entire team—the atmosphere at Silverstone is always special,” stated the Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur.
