Luigi Mazzola’s comments on the race
“What we saw this weekend was fantastic. I am absolutely in favor [of Las Vegas], it’s good for Formula 1. I think this combination of sport and entertainment can only benefit the sport, especially with this Red Bull dominance, and I hope it can be repeated.”
On Ferrari
“I would have expected a victory, it would have been easier than at other circuits. The performance in qualifying and free practice was significantly superior; sometimes we were even half a second faster than the others. Honestly, I would have enjoyed the victory, considering the circuit layout, similar to those where Ferrari has performed well. Here, they were even faster than Red Bull, so I feel a bit of regret; in my opinion, a race was lost. The last Safety Car could have prompted a Charles Leclerc pit stop, but honestly, I don’t feel like blaming. It was possible on this track where overtaking is easy, with DRS and Ferrari’s excellent top speed.” – the former Ferrari engineer pointed out at the end of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Because he is not aggressive, does not seek the battle, and lets himself be overtaken in that way. Pérez has somewhat lost the spirit of a driver who absolutely wants to win.” – Luigi Mazzola believes.
On Charles Leclerc
“Considering Brazil, considering the situation that had arisen, he still had a good race. He was always there, even overtaking Verstappen in the race, and then the final overtake. He didn’t win, true, he didn’t win, but…”

On Carlos Sainz
“In the race, he spun with a potentially winning car; he’s also battling in the drivers’ standings with everyone else, so I think it bothers him a bit.”
On the FIA
“I’m not too convinced that if Carlos Sainz had been in the front row, Ferrari would have won, but it’s clear [they made a mistake in penalizing him].”
