Luigi Mazzola commented on Charles Leclerc’s outstanding performance at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix during the Sky show Race Anatomy.
Luigi Mazzola’s words
Here’s what the former Ferrari engineer said: “I’d give him a 10 with honors, because the car is quite unstable, you can see it.”
“He took a lot of risks during qualifying… You can see the car doesn’t have a solid rear, but he manages to control it.”
“He’s really putting in the work, he’s in incredible form. In my opinion, right now, he’s the strongest driver on the Formula 1 grid.”
“Stronger than Max Verstappen? I think yes. Charles Leclerc, at this moment, with the car he has – which should in some way be demotivating – seems to have something extra.” – the former Ferrari engineer pointed out.
“He’s turning all the negativity around Ferrari into positivity. For me, right now, he’s the best,” Luigi Mazzola concluded.
