As if a triple-header in the end of the season was not difficult enough, for Ferrari and Mclaren the weekend will be even more exhausting. The hat-trick of races that includes Mexico, Brazil and Qatar consecutively from the logistical point of view is probably the most difficult ever faced by Formula One teasm, which had to make a virtue of necessity in the face of the pandemic, the restrictions associated with it and the problems of the last hour such as the definitive cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix initially scheduled for the end of November. The calendar therefore saw the compression of three stages that are not exactly close to each other to put it mildly and even the smallest setback can turn into a real unexpected event. This is the case of some flights blocked in Miami due to bad weather, planes that contain material necessary for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
The F1 leaders have declared that they do not expect a major change in the program of the next appointment which foresees a free practice session tomorrow before Qualifying at in the evening aimed at defining the starting grid of the scheduled Sprint Qualifying on Saturday evening. According to BBC correspondent Jennie Gow, the teams most affected by this flight delay are Ferrari and McLaren. To allow these teams to make up for lost time through no fault of their own there will be no usual curfew this evening and the mechanics will be able to work on the SF21 and MCL35 without time limits.
