Noon of Fire
Scuderia Ferrari has officially confirmed the time when the covers will be lifted from the SF-24 in the presentation of the seventieth car from the Prancing Horse, which will exclusively take place online. With a post published on social media, the Italian side has scheduled the appointment for its fans at 12:00 (GMT+1) on Tuesday, February 13th.
The Maranello team has chosen lunchtime to showcase the eagerly awaited red car that Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will have the opportunity to drive on the Fiorano track for a total of 15 km. Fans who gather along the fences of the home track will be able to see the red car live, while everyone else, including press and television, will experience the event through the internet.
After last year’s flashy presentation that ignited excessive enthusiasm, quickly tempered by on-track realities, Ferrari’s leadership has opted for a modest launch. This allows the technicians to raise the car after its debut run, as the next day, on February 14th, a filming day is scheduled at Fiorano: this year, the FIA has doubled the allowed mileage, moving from 100 to 200 km.
For the Scuderia, this will be the first real test before the start of the 2024 Formula 1 preseason tests, which will take place in Bahrain from February 21st to 23rd as a prelude to the Bahrain Grand Prix that will open the 2024 world championship season in Sakhir.
