A young Ferrari driver is set to take part in the Formula E rookie test session in Berlin, representing Mahindra Racing. Following his recent outing in Austria, the Swedish talent will now take the wheel of a fully electric single-seater as part of his development program.
Dino Beganovic, who recently drove the Ferrari SF-25 in Free Practice 1 at the Red Bull Ring in Austria, replacing Charles Leclerc under the official rookie test program outlined by Formula 1 regulations, will now get the chance to experience a completely different racing environment.
The Mahindra Racing team, led by CEO and Team Principal Frederic Bertrand, has chosen Dino Beganovic to represent them in this key test session aimed at evaluating young talent.
Comments from both sides ahead of the test
Speaking after the announcement, Dino Beganovic shared his excitement about this new opportunity:
“This is definitely a great chance to gain experience and contribute to the team’s development. I’ve been impressed by everything I’ve seen so far, and that explains why Mahindra is currently in the fight for the championship,” said the young Ferrari Driver Academy member.
Mahindra boss Frederic Bertrand also expressed his enthusiasm:
“When we evaluated our options for the rookie test in Berlin, Dino immediately stood out. He’ll have the opportunity to try out the Formula E car and everything that comes with it. We’re really looking forward to working with him.”
