During the Italian Grand Prix weekend at Monza, Ferrari fans will have the chance to reconnect with one of the most beloved drivers in the team’s history. Ferrari is going all out for the Monza weekend, and just before Sunday’s race, fans will be able to see one of the most cherished figures of the Scuderia up close. The announcement coincided with the reveal of the new SF-25 livery set to compete on track in a few days.
Jean Alesi returns to the track in a 412 T2
Before the green light signals the start of the sixteenth Grand Prix of the season, Jean Alesi will delight the crowd at the Autodromo di Monza. Always a fan favorite, the French driver will take the wheel of a 412 T2, the last Ferrari Formula 1 car to feature a V12 engine.
The announcement came directly from Ferrari in an official statement: “Speaking of fan favorites, on Sunday at Monza, spectators at the Autodromo will be able to reconnect with one of the most loved drivers in Scuderia Ferrari’s history. Jean Alesi, representing Ferrari from 1991 to 1995, remains in the hearts of Maranello fans despite having won just one race. The Frenchman will drive a 1995 412 T2, the final F1 car equipped with Maranello’s legendary V12 engine. The car will be prepared and managed by Ferrari’s F1 Clienti department.”
This special event adds to the already numerous activities organized by Ferrari for their home Grand Prix. Fans, and the team alike, hope these celebrations will be crowned by a race-day success, making the Monza weekend even more memorable.
