Maranello’s Racing Team ‘Travels’ with Ceva
Scuderia Ferrari is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with CEVA Logistics, a company controlled by the CMA CGM Group. Through a new multi-year agreement, the French company will continue to provide all logistical services for Scuderia Ferrari during Formula 1 World Championship events, as well as for GT races and Ferrari Challenge events, one of the world’s most renowned single-brand championships now entering its thirty-second season.
The extension of the partnership marks the strengthening of the relationship and mutual respect between two of the most prominent names in their respective fields. Scuderia Ferrari reaffirms its utmost confidence in the global network provided by CEVA Logistics to ensure road, maritime, air, and rail transport for everything the Formula 1 team requires on circuits worldwide.
One of the values shared by Scuderia Ferrari and CEVA Logistics is a passion for innovation and the constant pursuit of the best possible solution to achieve maximum results, a shared intention perfectly demonstrated by the innovative transport plan introduced by the French company during the 2023 races in North America. CEVA Logistics organized, for the first time in the world, the team’s material transport through a rail transport service, reducing carbon footprint by 90% compared to air transport and 32% compared to road transport.
Lorenzo Giorgetti, Chief Revenue Officer Ferrari: “Modern motorsports continuously pose significant logistic challenges. Compared to just a few years ago, Formula 1 now has a calendar with many more races outside of Europe, with teams competing on four different continents. The upcoming season will see a record-breaking 24 races organized for the first time in history. With such demanding schedules, it is crucial for Scuderia Ferrari to have a world-class logistics partner like CEVA Logistics, providing us with the assurance of consistently punctual and precise services. CEVA Logistics shares with Ferrari a passion for innovation and the desire to push boundaries, continuously improving in our respective areas of expertise while also considering the challenges related to environmental sustainability that the planet imposes on us today.”
Olivier Storch, Deputy CEO Ceva Logistics: “Since 2022, we have demonstrated that we share many values with Ferrari. Like the racing team, we constantly design and improve our solutions, anticipate changes in our industry or our customers’ ecosystems, develop more sustainable solutions, and reduce our environmental impact. Similar to Ferrari, innovation is a key factor in our success. The renewal of our partnership is proof of our ambition and our ability to achieve excellence in every circumstance.”
