Home » Ferrari criticized for Miami GP livery: fans unimpressed by SF-25 redesign

Ferrari criticized for Miami GP livery: fans unimpressed by SF-25 redesign. Ferrari's special SF-25 livery for the Miami GP draws criticism from fans and pundits.

Weeks of anticipation and rumors about the possible color scheme created what young people today call “hype.” Ferrari indeed decided to use a special livery on the SF-25 for the Miami GP weekend, but it failed to gain the approval of the Tifosi.

The Rossa from Maranello will hit the track in Florida with a car that is slightly more blue than usual. The engine cover and wings will be dominated by the symbolic colors of the HP brand, which became the Italian team’s title sponsor a year ago. However, the choice did not convince the Ferrari fanbase, which was expecting a more innovative design than the one presented in Miami.

In recent days, there had been talk of the possibility of seeing a completely white SF-25, given the shirts that Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will wear. A possible leak of the new livery had even begun to circulate on social media, but it turned out to be fake.
Criticism arrives for Ferrari.

The white and blue combo did not convince everyone. From the moment of the announcement, the first criticisms toward the Italian side from Maranello began to arrive. Among those who did not appreciate the chosen color scheme is Will Buxton, a well-known British commentator.

“Two opportunities to create something incredible and historic and twice senseless choices were made. Make a truly special livery or forget it,” Will Buxton wrote on his X profile.

A comment that gained the support of much of the Ferrari fanbase. Reading the comments under various Ferrari posts, in fact, many opinions similar to that of the British commentator can be found.

But in the end, what always matters is the result on track. If Ferrari were to win in Miami, the white and blue SF-25 would quickly be idolized and appreciated in a very different way than it is now. As always, the final word will be left to the track.
