In Miami to win: Charles Leclerc doesn’t hold back and has an extra secret. Ferrari is on the rise, and Leclerc has big ambitions.

Charles Leclerc, Ferrari, 2025 F1

Grand Prix, F1 returns to the track in Miami. Ferrari arrives in Florida energized by its first podium of the season, and now Charles Leclerc wants more—he wants to try to win. On the eve of the weekend, the Monegasque driver for Scuderia Ferrari did not shy away from expressing his ambitions and hopes for the second “Sprint” weekend of 2025.

Leclerc Wants to Win in Miami
“After the podium in Jeddah, the next step is victory!” exclaimed the Scuderia’s star, interviewed by Matteo Bobbi. “Jeddah went quite well. We’ve been heading in the right direction for a few weekends. We continue to push in this direction, which I find very interesting,” he continued.

For several weeks, the Maranello team has been following the path suggested by Charles Leclerc. In Saudi Arabia, the 1997-born driver’s suggestions paid off well, and the direction seems to be right. Although Ferrari is not the favorite for Miami, Charles Leclerc remains determined to bring Ferrari to the front thanks to the secret—the direction he has chosen—that allows him to push the car to its limits.

The week of rest after the first trio of races helped a motivated Ferrari understand the SF-25 better. Leclerc welcomed the ‘rest’ positively: “This time, we also had more time to test in the simulator to have a solid base to start from this weekend.”

“It’s also a Sprint weekend, I like this type of weekend,” explained the driver for the Modena-based team. “We hope we can bring home a victory.”

Leclerc Isn’t Worried About Predictions and Trusts in “His Direction”
While the work in the simulator and Ferrari’s recent progress make the Monegasque quite optimistic, there’s also a factor that worries Charles. “Does Miami suit Ferrari’s characteristics? I don’t think so, but I hope we can be surprised.”

On paper, the U.S. circuit doesn’t seem to be one of the best for Ferrari’s car. But Formula 1 teaches that even the most solid predictions can prove false and be disproven. So, Charles Leclerc doesn’t give up and bets everything on the chosen development path. For the Ferrari driver, victory isn’t out of reach: “I’m convinced of the direction we’ve taken. That helps me extract more from the car. Never say never, I believe in it.”
