Ferrari has today, 16 October, announced its Ferrari Driver Academy line-up for 2027, confirming eight young drivers who will receive support from Maranello. The new roster includes three additions and two significant absences, with Rafael Câmara and Dino Beganovic both leaving the academy structure in its current form.
Rafael Câmara’s departure comes after achieving the most important objective of the programme: reaching Formula 1. The Brazilian has now been confirmed as a Haas Formula 1 driver for 2027, completing his journey through the Ferrari Driver Academy after several years of development under Maranello’s guidance.
The situation is different for Dino Beganovic. The Swedish driver will remain connected to Ferrari as a development and reserve driver, sharing those responsibilities with Antonio Giovinazzi rather than continuing as a member of the Driver Academy.
Three new drivers join Ferrari Driver Academy for 2027
Ferrari has added three new names to its young-driver programme for 2027. Colombian driver Salim Hanna will compete in Formula 3, Turkish prospect Alp Aksoy is set to race in Formula Regional, while Spaniard Daniel Miron will join from karting.
The additions underline Ferrari’s continued focus on identifying talent at different stages of the junior ladder, from karting through to Formula 2. The academy remains a key part of Maranello’s long-term driver development strategy, with Rafael Câmara becoming the latest example of a prospect progressing from the programme towards a full-time Formula 1 seat. His career progression can also be explored in the Rafael Câmara career profile.
Ferrari Driver Academy 2027 line-up
The complete Ferrari Driver Academy line-up for 2027 will therefore be:
- Tuukka Taponen – Formula 2
- Salim Hanna – Formula 3
- Nicco Maccagnani – Formula 3
- Alp Aksoy – Formula Regional
- Filippo Sala – Formula 4
- Noah Baglin – Formula 4
- Alba Larsen – F1 Academy
- Daniel Miron – Karting
With Rafael Câmara graduating from the academy and Dino Beganovic moving into a new Ferrari role, Maranello is effectively renewing its junior structure and concentrating its investment on another generation of drivers who can be guided towards the higher categories.
The changes come at an important time for Ferrari’s young-driver system. Rafael Câmara’s move to Haas strengthens the pathway between Maranello and the American team, while Oliver Bearman has already demonstrated how the Ferrari Driver Academy can provide a route into Formula 1. The broader development of Ferrari’s junior programme has also attracted attention following recent comparisons with Red Bull’s own driver-development structure.
