Today, Maranello hosted the much-anticipated Ferrari Capital Markets Day 2025. For John Elkann, serving in his role as President of Ferrari, it was an important occasion to comment on two aspects of the company that currently seem to contrast with each other. On one side, Ferrari as a company continues to sail smoothly, experiencing exponential growth, with a brand that is increasingly recognized and admired across the globe.
On the other side, the Scuderia began the 2025 season with ambitious goals, boosted by the arrival of seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. Yet, despite these high expectations, the team now faces the prospect of a season without a Formula 1 victory. However, there are still notable achievements in the racing domain, particularly in Endurance racing, where the Ferrari 499P has claimed its third consecutive victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and is strongly positioned for the world championship title. Elkann has personally committed to bringing the same level of success to Formula 1.
“Ferrari is unique, and it is unique in three dimensions: tradition, technology, and racing. The perfect combination of these three elements defines Ferrari. Racing, a story that began on the track almost a century ago, defines who we are. I want to be clear: this is a personal matter. My commitment, as President, as majority shareholder, and most importantly as someone who has lived Ferrari as a lifelong passion, is absolute,” John Elkann stated.
“I am committed to ensuring that every decision we make strengthens Ferrari’s uniqueness. I am committed to our people, whose talent and dedication are the greatest guarantee of our future. I am committed to our beloved Ferrari enthusiasts, who entrust us with their dreams. And I am committed to our loyal fans, eager to see us win in Formula 1, just as we are winning in Endurance. We are proud to have brought home the Le Mans trophy after three consecutive victories,” he added.
Ferrari’s CEO, Benedetto Vigna, also took the opportunity to address the racing division of the Prancing Horse: “Last time, we made a commitment to win in racing. We succeeded with the 499P in Endurance, but in Formula 1 we still have to improve. We must win, and we owe it to our loyal fans around the world,” Benedetto Vigna explained.
This clear message from Benedetto Vigna emphasizes Ferrari’s determination to bring Formula 1 success back to the Scuderia while continuing to celebrate its achievements in other racing categories. The combination of corporate growth, technological innovation, and a strong racing tradition remains central to Ferrari’s identity, and the leadership team is committed to ensuring that these pillars translate into victories on the Formula 1 grid in the near future.
