The results from the Singapore Grand Prix speak volumes, as does the race management. Charles Leclerc emerged exhausted after a dramatic ordeal of lift-and-coast driving, while Lewis Hamilton encountered brake problems that hampered his performance.
Blick’s expert, Roger Benoit, has offered a prediction on the upcoming seasons in Formula 1. McLaren is not expected to experience major upheavals, with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri likely to be retained. However, the Australian driver seems to be exploring other options, and Ferrari could be a destination not to be underestimated. “He already has his eyes on 2027,” the report notes.
The outlook is less promising for Ferrari’s current stars. “Leclerc and Hamilton are probably entering their final season in Maranello, and their future is uncertain,” Benoit adds.
It’s not just Piastri under consideration: Ferrari is reportedly also interested in Gabriel Bortoleto for 2027. Currently, Sauber is preparing for its transition to Audi with the Brazilian driver alongside veteran Nico Hulkenberg. A potential return of Carlos Sainz to Ferrari cannot be ruled out either; although the Spaniard is committed to the Williams project, an offer from a top team is something few drivers would refuse.
