The start of the new Formula One season is just around the corner, and the drivers are enjoying the last days of relaxation. Among them is Pierre Gasly. Yesterday, the French driver posted a small recap on his Instagram of how the winter break was going. However, a detail particularly intrigued his fans. In one image, Pierre Gasly is seen entering a garage with cutouts of Verstappen, Leclerc, Hamilton, and Norris hanging on the walls, along with those of two characters from the video game Minecraft.
Gasly’s real garage?
Naturally, curiosity erupted on social media, and the photo went viral. Many started to wonder if that was indeed Pierre Gasly’s garage or if it belonged to a fan, and the Alpine driver happened to be passing through. Others jokingly suggested that the Frenchman used those cutouts as targets. It’s hard to believe that Gasly would showcase his real home on social media. This could be counterproductive as numerous fans might go looking for him.

Aside from the questionable interior decor choices, Gasly also showed that he didn’t get bored during the break. The Alpine driver trained a lot, both in the gym and on go-karts. In one photo, we find him on the track with former teammate Yuki Tsunoda. Golf, family time, and meetings with football stars like Kevin De Bruyne and Virgil Van Dijk were also on the agenda.
However, serious business will resume soon. Alpine will unveil its new car on February 7 and is tasked with improving last year’s disappointing performances. Nevertheless, early reports indicate that the car is still struggling and not up to the level of its rivals. Additionally, there are rumors that Alpine failed the side crash test and is behind schedule.
We will see whether Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon will have a competitive car to fight for points or if they will struggle throughout the season. Much of their future depends on this. Both drivers seem to have instructed their agents to start exploring other possible seats.
